Artist statement
The creator of URBNA Studio — a space where nature, art, and the built environment engage in a creative dialogue. With a background in architecture and urban design, I’m fascinated by places, spaces and the way we experience them. From vibrant streetscapes to quiet pockets of nature.
What started with a crayon in one hand and a paper in the other from a young age, has evolved into a lifelong exploration of visual storytelling, expressed through ways like painting, sketching and digital design.
URBNA Studio is where I bring it all together, my love for nature, art & design, sketching and people, exploring the wonder at the intersection of it all!
The Creative Process...
My work is rooted in a desire to preserve and interpret natural and urban intersections, especially those shaped by memory, cultural identity, and environmental tension.
Each piece in the URBNA series blends textures of the wild with architectural or communal traces — whether it’s the quiet array of trees hovering the busy street or the looming presence of a volcano behind party flags.
URBNA’s visual voice lives in muted greens, grounded neutrals, and expressive linework; embracing a tactile, almost journal-like approach to digital painting. The sketchy, linework reflects how we experience places: not as polished snapshots, but layered memories. Sketchiness holds a place for raw and emotional incompleteness. This incompleteness is intentional. It speaks to the way we experience the world, not as perfect contained images but as fragments, impressions, emotional imprints, always in process.
These works are not just landscapes, they’re memoryscapes, mapping relationships between place and presence, both personal and collective.
URBNA is not just an art practice. It is a growing creative brand, an archive of wildness, structure, beauty and stillness coexisting.
